Grace Hopper was an illustrious American Naval officer and computer scientist. She is accredited with inventing one of the first linkers. A trailblazer of computer programming, she assisted in defining the design of COBOL. Prior to joining navy, she did her Ph.D in Mathematics and served as a professor at Vassar College.
