Robert Harold Schuller was an American author, motivational speaker, Christian televangelist and pastor who became an influential personality through his television program that ran for several decades. He had been told to become an evangelist when he was still a child and it was not really a surprise that Schuller went on to acquire a Master in Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary after studying at Hope College. Schuller became a minister in the Reformed Church in America and before long he moved on to Reformed Churches located in Riverdale and Garden Grove. However, one of his biggest achievements as a pastor was becoming a renowned television personality and he became famous for the show ‘Hour of Power’ which was aired once a week. The show was first aired in 1970 and ran for 40 years and that made Schuller one of the most popular televangelists in the United States.
