Andrew Warhol, better known as Andy Warhol, was an artist, author, intellectual and socialite from the United States, who is known as one of the most influential exponents of pop art and was regarded as one of the icons of the 1960s. Warhol attended the art course at University of Pittsburgh, before going on to gain his post graduate degree in commercial art from Carnegie Institute of Technology and found success as a commercial artist, designing magazine illustration. He also worked in advertising. However, he became far more famous when he became an artist later on and was particularly known for his rather controversial artistic tendencies. Warhol was adept at a variety of illustration techniques including hand drawing, simple painting, printmaking, silk screening and photography among others. On the other hand, he was one of the leading socialites of his era, who established Interview magazine and also authored two noted books titled, ‘Popism-The Warhol Sixties’ and ‘The Philosophy of Andy Warhol’. He was also friends with some of the biggest names in Hollywood and his studio was a favourite haunt of the who’s who of American entertainment. Here are some of the most interesting quotes by Andy Warhol.

Every song has a memory; every song has the ability to make or break your heart, shut down the heart, and open the eyes. But I’m afraid if you look at a thing long enough; it loses all of its meaning
Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.
