John Harvey Kellogg was an eminent nutritionist, medical doctor, health activist, businessman, and inventor. He was also the director of Battle Creek Sanitarium, which was founded by Seventh-day Adventist Church members. The place was a combination of a hydrotheraphy institute, a high-class hotel, a hospital, and an European spa.
